Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday (June 4, 2025) lauded his sister and DMK MP Kanimozhi for her response to a question on the national language of India, while she was addressing the Indian diaspora in Spain.
Kanimozhi, who was leading an all-party delegation from India to Spain, was asked what the national language of India is, to which she responded: “The national language of India is unity and diversity. That is the message this delegation brings to the world, and that is the most important thing today.” Her response went viral on social media.
In a post on X, Mr. Stalin extended his congratulations to Ms. Kanimozhi, and noted that her reply had been widely shared on social media and had won applause.
“I am proud of Kanimozhi for speaking Tamil Nadu’s language of love and unity, as the voice of India,” he said.
